Could Dizzy, Irritable Couldn't Sleep Be Caused By A Lack Of Vitamin A?

Question: I'm Vitamin D deficient. I have been prescribed 50000 ui weekly doses. Last time I attempted this I had really bad side affects, I was dizzy, irritable, and had couldn't sleep. I actually didn't realize it was the Vitamin D until I went on vacation and forgot to bring my prescription. I felt normal again . When I came home and resumed the dosage all symptoms cam right back. Could this be caused by a lack of Vitamin A?

Hello,
I read your query and here is my advice.
Most probably the symptoms you were experiencing may have been caused by vitamin D rather than vitamin A.
I want to know how long have you been using vitamin D injections.
It can be used for 8 weeks then you can take oral tablets of 2000ui for maintenance.
If you have taken it for less than 8 weeks and the injection isn't good for you , you can use tablets of 4000ui per day.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards.

These are not injections, they are in tablet form. I was low last year and had taken 5 of the 6 weekly dosage of 50000 ui tablets. I am now low again and I have not started to take them yet, I am meeting with my pcp tomorrow to discuss alternatives. Maybe injections? Not sure yet. Hello dear thank you for writing again.
If you think you may have vitamin a deficiency you may need to test it and take it as supplement.
Cod liver oil contains only 450 ui of vitamin d so it can't be used as a source of vitamin D. It is true that cod liver oil may help vitamin d absorption but has low dosage of vitamin d and you need much more.
I think you can consider vitamin d injections or daily dosage of 4000 ui.
You can also use 3000 ui daily and two teaspoons of codliver oil.
