Could Increasing Pain Due To Wrist Tendonitis Since The Last Trimester Of Pregnancy Be Treated And Completely Cured?
Question: Hello, doctor, I am XXXXXXX currently living in Germany, I delivered a baby on XXXXXXX 11, 2018.
I have been suffering from wrist pain for last six months. (started during my last month of the pregnancy but recently it got increased)
I have consulted an ortho, and I am diagnosed with wrist tendonitis (around my thumb). the doctor suggested wearing a wrist brace so that it supports my thumb.
I have been using the braces for last 3 weeks but I don't see any improvement instead it got aggrevated.
would like to take your opinion on how to treat this

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Well, since you've not noticed any improvement despite using the brace, I'd suggest you discuss with your doctor regarding a change of brace size and different way put the brace in the first place.
Ideally, an MRI of the wrist and the affected hand may also need to be done to look for any other pathology (ligaments or other soft tissue injuries underlying) which may have worsened over a period of time. Treatment will be primarily based on the findings (in some cases small corrective surgeries may also need to be done).
Let me know if there're any further doubts/queries...
