Could Ovulating Be Related To Ovary Or Is It Perhaps Muscular?

Question: 45 year old female. Just finished ovulating two days ago. Last night I had a spasm like pains above my buttocks lower back which radiated to groin. Spasm type pains topped but now feels tight. Could this be related to ovary or is it perhaps muscular? I do experience an achy right side when I ovulate but never had a spasm like this. My period is still regular and I do not have any urinary issues.

Brief Answer:
Ovulation Pain

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I Understand your concerns about the pain you are suffering from.

Following is my reply:

1) Pain you are describing is most likely due to ovulation pain and nothing else.

2) This is called Mittelschmerz in medical terms which denotes the possible pain/ spasm associated with ovulation.

3) This is associated with paion on one side as you described on right side.

4) Sometimes it could be strong like muscular spasm.

5) This is just ovulation pain and nothing else.

Let me know if you need anymore help.

Regards
