Could Radioactive Chemicals Used During A Cardiac Stress Test Lead To Bluish Green Stool?
Question: I have not been feeling well and had a cardiac stress test last Tuesday. Instead of the tread mill they did the test with radioactive medicine and another chemical medicine that induces stress on the heart and body. I had bright bluish green stool this afternoon and was wondering if this could be from the chemicals given to me on Tuesday for the stress test. I was feeling blocked and now have diarrhea. Thank you.
Brief Answer:
Drink plenty of water and take tablet loperamide
Detailed Answer:
Hi
After hearing your history you are having diarrhea due to the chemical that was used during cardiac stress test.
I would advise you to rehydrate yourself by drinking atleast 2.5 liters of water per day.
Also if your diarrhea is 4 times or more a day then I would advise you to take tablet loperamide 4 mg first followed by 2 mg every 2 hourly till your diarrhea is stopped
