Could The Dizziness And Vertigo I'm Experiencing Six Weeks After My Hysterectomy Be Related To The Surgery?

Question: I had a complete hysterectomy almost 6 weeks and have had dizziness ever since, some times I even feel like I'm going to black out. I went to the doctor for it yesterday and was diagnosed with vertigo. The doctor wasn't my obgyn. Is the vertigo a symptom of the hysterectomy I had on March 26 of this year?

Brief Answer:
Please see the detailed answer below.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Vertigo after hysterectomy is very rare. Dizziness or black outs might be there due to sudden change of position but vertigo is very rare.
I would suggest you to visit ENT and neurology specialists for further evaluation. You might be suggested few exercises or medication like Betahistine / Cinnarizine.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further. Thanks.
