Question: Hospital visit showed 1.3 cm fluid lateral to cecum. Went to ER with 8/10 pain in right side with vomitting. BloOdwork showed low lymphs and high neutrophils. Would fluid be from burst duct on ovary?? Ultrasound months prior evidenced bilateral ovarian cysts

Brief Answer:
Could be cyst rupture or torsion or a local infection

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I didn't really understand the meaning of burst duct on ovary. Kindly specify. However with a history of bilateral ovarian cysts, there are chances of complications like pelvic pain, cyst rupture, blood loss, ovarian torsion. These could also cause severe pain 8/10 with vomiting.

Since you have already visited hospital and ultrasound showed 1.3 cm fluid lateral to cecum, I suppose they would have suggested to drain it out or find a cause of it. Further tests would be needed to find exact cause.
