Could This Be Related To Menopause Or Am I Too Young?

Question: Hi I am a 46 year old female who has recently been experiencing menstral changes. In July I completely skipped my period followed by a normal period in August. On the 26th day of my cycle for September I experienced a few hours of spotting then nothing. The same has happened for the month of October. Could this be related to menopause or am I too young?
Brief Answer:
Menopause
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
Yes, it could be menopause setting in.
46 years is still ok for a healthy menopause.
I would like to know some more details like
Do you sweat a lot ?
Do you have mood issues ?
Do you feel giddy often ?
Are there any recent changes in your weight?
Waiting for your response

Thanks for the timely reply. I have noticed an uptick in anxiety and yes I do have brief periods where I feel very warm and at times sweaty. Is it common to experience light spotting instead of full blown period during this transition? The spotting commences exactly when my period should start. Also a few months back I had a ct scan for an unrelated issue ans a small hemoragic cyst was found. It was reviewed by my gyno and she felt it was harmless. Could this cyst be related to irregular periods?
Brief Answer:
Not the cyst
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing back
Sorry for the delay in my response
No, cysts usually do not meddle with hormones production. Presence of cysts does not cause irregular periods.
I strongly suspect that you are in perimenopausal stage.
Need not worry, it may take time but you will come out of it.
Regards,
