Could Tinnitus, Vertigo And Sinus Infection Be Related To The Inner Ear?

default
Posted on Fri, 7 Jul 2023
Question: I had a massage today with medium to heavy pressure. When I got up from the table I had what feels like vertigo. The room seemed to be spinning and I was imbalanced. It has since gotten better but has not gone away completely (it has been approx 2 hours). I do not have any other symptoms or other health conditions. I am mainly dizzy when I turn my head or lean down. I have had ear ringing for awhile after a sinus infection. Could this be related to something inner ear or should I be concerned and go to the doctor?

Brief Answer:
Probably inner ear infection, follow the advice below.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to the inner ear infection.
It usually is a viral infection.

Some advice that I can give to you are:
- Take antihistamines like Benadryl daily
- Take anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day
- Keep your head upright while sitting to help drain the ear
- Gargle with salty water.
- If the symptoms does not relief prescribed medications like steroids can be used. You should consult your doctor about this.

The symptoms should be gone in two weeks.
