Could You Explain How NCV's Assist In Diagnosing Bell's Palsy?
Question: Could you explain how NCV's assist in diagnosing Bell's Palsy?
Hi XXXXXX
Thanks for your query.
Bell's palsy is diagnosed using a process that is known as diagnosis by exclusion, by elimination of other reasonable possibilities.
NCV is ordered when there are symptoms like numbness, tingling, burning sensations, and is used to diagnose nerve damage, myopathy, Lambert-Eaton syndrome, neuropathy, peripheral neuropathy, mononeuritis multiplex or myasthenia gravis, or to exclude any of them when the doctor tries to diagnose Bell's palsy.
If you have any more queries, feel free to ask.
