Could You Please Advise What Are My Chances Of Getting An STD ?

Question: Dear Doctor,
Two weeks back I had a protected oral sex from an escort. In the process I licked her anal for few mins (2 mins ) and I might have accidentally touched my toungue on her vagina. I am now very concerned whether I would catch any serious STD via this action. She looked very clean and her private regions are clean as well no rash or visible lesions or sores.
Could you please advise me what are my chances of getting an STD and should I have to be get tested. I am so worried please help.

Brief Answer:
Regarding STDs
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you.
I am Dr. Kakkar (Dermatologist and Venereologist).I have noted your concern.
Performing unprotected oral sex on a female poses risk of transmission of Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV), Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) and rarely pharyngeal Gonorrhea and syphilis. These STDs can be silent in a sexual partner, therefore, absence of signs or symptoms doesn't exclude transmission. I suggest you to screen for HSV and syphilis( vdrl ) after 4-6 weeks. HIV is very unlikely as saliva is inhibitory for the virus and therefore caries a negligible risk of transmission from oral sex.
Regards

Hi What tests can reveal HSV and Syphilis?

Brief Answer:
Regarding STDs
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
HerpeSelect for genital herpes and VDRL for syphilis. I suggest you to take these tests after 4-6 weeks of sexual encounter. Cant give you the exact percentage but the risk of transmission of HSV is genuine even without any clinical lesions, though, transmission of syphilis is unlikely without any genital lesions /sores in sexual partner.
Regards
