Brief Answer:
Enumerating the abnormal findings below

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

I am enumerating the abnormal laboratory findings below:
- Increased neutrophil count is only slightly high and can be ignored unless there is an infection
- Decreased eosinophil count is low and is of no clinical importance
- Serum globulin is little low and she can improve her diet
- Thyroid stimulating hormone level is within normal range for Bio. Reference interval. I don't know why it is highlighted. Does she have a history of thyroid issues? Since when is the patient taking thyronorm? Does she have any symptoms of hypothyroidism like lethargy, dry skin, loss of hair etc? Maybe doctor just wants to keep a watch on its level in future
- Both ultrasounds are normal.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dear Doctor,
Thank you for your detailed response and for enumerating the abnormal laboratory findings.

I would like to inform you that my sister does not have any history of thyroid issues. Despite this, her consulting doctor has prescribed thyroid medication, stating that "these readings indicate a minor thyroid issue." She has been taking these medications continuously for the past two months, which has raised concerns about her health and the potential complications during pregnancy from taking these medicines.

Given that the test results indicate everything is normal, we are unsure why the medication was prescribed. Could you please advise us on whether it is necessary to continue this medication and what steps we should take to ensure her health and the wellbeing of her pregnancy?

Thank you once again for your assistance.

Brief Answer:
No it's not needed

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

Thanks for your detailed response.

The prescribed thyronorm is low dose. So most probably it would not have affected pregnancy. It may have just caused some symptoms of hyperthyroidism like anger, irritability etc. With the given details, I wouldn't have prescribed thyronorm.
Anyways I will suggest that she gets a thyroid profile blood test done and share the reports with me

Regards
Dr Vaishalee
