Question: my brother age 26 had been diagnoised covid 12 days back, he had been home qurantinned from past 12 days at home. we had given Rtpcr test yester still it was p

Hi,

Do you mean your brother still has RT PCR positive report even after the 12th day after infection though his symptoms are negative?

If yes, RT PCR may be positive for a few days to a week after 15 days since the beginning of infection. I would not be overly worried about the report if he is asymptomatic. However, it is advisable to stay home quarantined for few more days.

There is no evidence to suggest CT gene values in RT PCR report relate to the severity of the disease. Therefore I cannot assess the severity here. What are his symptoms? Does he have breathing difficulty?

Yes, he should be on medications that include symptomatic drugs and vitamins - zincovit / limcee / evion one tablet each every day.
