Dear Doctor, 1.5 Month Before My Lower Right Wisdom Tooth
Question: Dear Doctor, 1.5 month before my lower right wisdom tooth removed (as it is not emerged out completely and causing pain, so dentist suggested for removal). After removal surgery, still i felt some numbness in tongue mainly on right side (teeth removal side).. i informed same to doctor.. she said may be it is because of stitches and next day she adjusted some stitches.. Even after 1 week i am not able to feel my right side tongue like before.. Then doctor suggested Neuro forte tablet once daily for 2 months.. Still i always have some tingling sensation on tip of my tongue and some numb feeling on right side of tongue.. Please suggest what are the next steps for my situation...and what i need to do now..
Brief Answer:
Needs time for recovery
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
The nerve supplying the tongue could have been irritated while injection of local anesthesia. The Nerve heals over time, there is no need to worry. With Neuroforte the process can speed up.
Wait for another 2 weeks, there might be some improvement. If the numbness or loss of sensation continues then you may have to mee your dentist again.
I Hope, I answered your query.
Wish you good health.
Regards,
