Question: Dear Doctor,
I am 36 year old.
Weight 93kg, Height 5ft 4inch.I am G6PD deficient.
Today suddenly at 5.30pm I felt my left ear got blocked and can hear a tingling sound and still it's almost a the same. I can say it's almost 60 to 70%

Nowmy main concern is that when I went to my physician I monitored my BP and it was high 160/100.
I thought it might be due to sudden stress which I took thinking about this ear problem. As I am a very nervous person when it comes to my health. And also I have white coat hypertension.
So currently i am taking (Nebicard 2.5) every night since 5 years for blood pressure as i had slight high pressure and fast heartbeat in past and also taking lonazep 0.25 for anxiety and sleep issues.

Today My physician told me to also take (Amlopres 5 )along with it for today and from tomorrow reduce to
Amlopres 2.5 and Nebicard 2.5
And take Augmentin 625 twice for may be some cold or sinus or infection.
Also I am taking lonazep 0.25 at night as I had sleep disorder and anxiety in past.

But the thing is playing on my mind that can i take these both blood pressure medicine together???
Further if my pressure is physiological, if I take these 2 medicine can I go very low???

My family says it will not drop below normal limit and it will prevent it from being high and if i stop than it will again be high.
So i am totally confused and worried about it..
Pls revert me what i should do and how do i manage it
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Yes it’s safe

Detailed Answer:
Hello

After going through the medical details provided by you I can understand your concern for your health and well being and I would like to tell you that first of all you need to relax and calm down yourself as stress and anxiety are one of the most common as well as easily reversible causes of high blood pressure.

Your family physician has advised you in s correct manner and 5 mg dose of amlopress is very minimal and it won’t bring down your blood pressure below the desired levels.

Also your doctor has advised you to cut down it’s dose to half, he has advised this regime to regulate your current blood pressure status.

So in my opinion just follow the advice of your treating physician as it’s quite safe to take both the medications together and rest assured that your blood pressure won’t fall beyond desired.

Hope to have been helpful.

Kind Regards

Dear Doctor,
Thanks for your answer but I din't take Amlopres 2.5 and only continued with nebicard2.5. One day went ok and I thought it was my continuous thinking which led to pressure rise.
But today again when I checked my BP it was 150/90 and consantly above 145 /87 from afternoon. Morning its around 137/79. So I presume that Nebicard which I take at night the effect lasts till next afternoon only.
But my main worry is that I hear a teeeee like sound in my ear suddenly and it lasts long. Sometimes the ear suddenly gets blocked and than opens up but sound remains. It's very disturbing. What is it???? Google says it's tinnitus.. but how come I developed it so suddenly??
Can it be due to BP fluctuations??
Please help what should I do

Brief Answer:
Hello again

Detailed Answer:
Yes high blood pressure can cause such symptoms in some patients, heavy head or headache is also very common with high blood pressure.

So it advisable that you should follow the advice of your treating doctor and start with amlodipine for proper bp control.

Hopefully this will resolve that ringing sensation in your ear also.

Kind Regards
