Question: Dear Doctor,
I had the first day of my period on 11th January and had unprotected sex on 24th January. I have been taking Dronis 30 and Pyricontin everyday for the last 3 years. I start the pills on the 5th day after my periods begin. I had my 10th pill of the cycle on 24th XXXXXXX (after sex). I have never missed a pill and take it at approximately the same time everyday. I am not on any other medication. I'm a smoker. Can I be pregnant?

Oral contraceptive pills when taken regularly without a miss has very good protection rate. It is able to prevent pregnancy at a rate that is more than 98-99%. So it is highly unlikely that you are pregnant.
