Dear Doctor, I Have Been Struggling With A Few Issues
I have been struggling with a few issues for the last 2 years and know that now are uncertain times and are therefore unable to visit my GP. Please can you let me know if from the following issues whether i should seek an appointment from my GP to discuss this further/ what my issues could possibly mean.
NO SEX drive (which is causing me relationship issues)
Loss of bladder control & have to wee so much in a day and very suddenly (i also get this when needing to poo)
Havent slept properly/ through the night for at least the last 10 months and constantly feel tired
Low mood & anxiety, struggling feeling to leave the house and a panic attack after leaving work once
Vaginal dryness during sex and unable to climax during sex (i could before orally but now it is difficult) and emotionally this is very stressful
constant up and down mood swings - i have had a weighted feeling of sadness sitting in my shoulders for the last year and half and no matter what i do or am doing i can't shift it
Greying and increased hair loss
MY periods have always been irregular but even more so now. July of last year I had a period that lasted almost 4 weeks. Then Aug/ September I had the heaviest period & one of the most painful I have ever had (super tampon & pad used together were leaked through in about 40 minutes & had to have 3 days off of work. With my next period after this i also had to take 2 more days off work for the pain which is a problem.
I have always had fairly irregular hormones but feel like the last 2 years it has increased drastically and the issues about have really affected my daily life.
I had an incident in the last 6 months ago where i physically wet myself in the street after not being about to reach a toilet or covered area quick enough when i had only been outside for 20 minutes and was 3 minutes from my front door. I am 23 years old and feel like this shouldn't be happening.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.
Get further evaluated.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
I think you should get further evaluated.
You need to do a total blood count with formula to get checked for iron deficiency anemia taking count of hair loss. Get also checked your thyroid function because this vaginal dryness ,low mood and hair loss may be sign of hypothyroidism.
Also I believe you should visit an urologist because urine inconvenience is not much common in your age.
You should do a urine flow test to check the urinary tract function.
Stress and anxiety you are having may contribute to the lack of sexual desire and difficulty on having intercourse and having vaginal dryness.
So as a conclusion you should get further evaluated and go to doctor because this issue can't be resolved by itself.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
