Question: Dear Doctor,
In 2016 I had an ulcer in my stomach( I don't have the endoscopy report now that's why I can't tell the specificity of it). With medicines, I got relieved. However, every now and then, from that time onwards I had issues of bloating. In 2017, my stomach was bloated for almost 2/3 months. I also have bloating very frequently now. In January, 2019, I had severe bloating for one week which was worse after having food. For the last few months, I was experiencing abdominal discomfort (bloating and a moderate pinching pain especially after food). I consulted a doctor and was diagnosed with a superficial ulcer in my fundus. I was positive for pylori too. I was given medicines for one month which includes: a) SomprazL, b) Sucrafil O gel and c) Pyloflush . The course is about to complete. Still, I am not fully recovered. Problems are still there. Please help !!!

My routine blood test was normal but ESR was 20.(In july)
I had vitamin D deficiency.

d) I will also attach the endoscopy report.

Thanks and regards,

Brief Answer:
Answer given below

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for uploading the report.
If the RUT slide showed pink color when the report and the slide were given to you, it indicates you are positive for H.pylori. If it was as the same color like how it is seen in the picture now, then you are negative for it.

Also the fundus is not showing any ulcer.

You are having postprandial distress syndrome.
Sompraz L once a day which you are taking now should relieve the symptoms.
If sompraz L is not relieving the symptoms, you can take digestive enzymes like Enzar Forte along with it.

Dr.R.K

Dear Doctor,
The RUT kit was pink when it was delivered to me. The colour is fading now.
Regarding the current treatment I am on, do you suggest me to discontinue it? I was bit dissatisfied with the previous gastroenterologist because:
a) He was inattentive and non-interective towards me.
b) Also, after the endoscopy, I was feeling a sharp pain in my belly for several days. I also started experiencing a pinching pain in several spots of my stomach(while I walk)from then. I had to discontinue yoga bcz after endoscopy, I had a pain.
I am thinking of visting another gastroenterologist and undergo the endoscopy again if possible (due to my lack of trust in the previous doctor). Do you think I should do that? Please recommend what you think as good. Thanks in advance!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The sharp pain and the pinching pain you had are not related to endoscopy procedure.
There is no need to visit another gastroenterologist or get another endoscopy done.
Yes, you can continue taking Sompraz L. It will relieve your abdominal bloating.

Dr.R.K
