MILD FEVER SINCE 11TH MARCH
I am here under giving details of the case history of my wife .
She is 68 year old.
Existing conditions : Diabetes II since 2005.The diabetes is under control. fasting 94 and pp 120.HB A1 c 5.8. Taking Glycomet 500 mg twice a day and Ecosprin Av 75 once
Hypothyroidsm since 2013 .TSH 2.1 Takes Thyronorm 50 mg .
Mild hyperttention since 1996. It is under control 120/80.Takes stamlo 5 mg once a day

Intially she has temparature on 11th march with 102 degrees with cough (flum)
from next day the temparature came down to 101 and then to 100.
After 4 days my doctor brother prescribed livofloxocin 500mg once a day for 5 days besides dolo 650 twice a day
Later after completion of 5 days when the temparature did not come down he has precribed Azithromycin 500 mg once a day and dolo 650 twice a day.
Even then the fever did not come down to normal.
Then on 22/3 , I took her to my family doctor.He has prescribed chest X ray and blood picture including Widal test.Except Esonophyils which is 12.7 and ESR 16, all other eparameters are normal. Xray is normal.
Widal: S.Typhi Antigen O 1 in 80 dilutions
S.Typhi Antigen H 1.in 80 dilutions
S.Paratyphi A less than 1 in 20 dilutions
S.Paratyphi B less than 1 in 20 dilutions
He said that there is mild typhoid and gave Mahaflox 500 mg,Yogut,Sulfomag and hetrazon 100 mg.But the fever did not subside.
Again after one week on 28/3 i took her to the doctor again since the fever is still coming in the evenings.He has prescribed Ceftas -AZ ,Dorolac and zincovit. The medicines are yet to be taken upto 1st april.
She is having normal in the mornings and at times in the after noon and 99 in the evenings.
She has no other complaint.No vomitings or vomiting sensation, no pain in the stomach, no diarrohea.Her appetite is good except some weakness. She is taking her normal food and avoiding oils and fats.
NOW AFTR 35 DAYS again i took her to blood test and the report is herewith attached. The Widal values have come to normal and other parameteres are also normal.That is what my doctor said and asked her just to forget about the fever and no medicine is now required.
STILL EVEN YESTERDAY she had mild fever of 99 in the evening
kindly give your valuable advise.When this fever subsides altogether. Am i going in correct direction?
Will there be any underlying cause ?
I am very much worried .In her child hood she had paratyphoid once.

Usually normal adult body temperature varies from 97 to 99 F.
Please let me know does she has burning micturation or frequency of micturation, joint pain, weight loss?
Still I would suggest you to do urine culture sensitivity to rule out asymptomatic urinary tract infection or bacteriuria.
Along with that kindly do blood culture sensitivity after physician consultation.
Till then kindly take tab. paracetamol 500 mg if temperature goes beyond 99F. Continue saline or Betadine gargles twice a day.
Keep yourself hydrated. Avoid dry and humid environment.
