Bronchial asthma and raised IgE

Detailed Answer:
Hi...
Welcome to "Ask a Doctor"service.
I am Dr Ajeet XXXXXXX

I have gone through your query and here is my opinion.

Whenever there is an exposure to allergens or infections, antibodies (or immunoglobulins) are formed in our body.

There are many types of antibodies found in blood (like Off,IgM) and IgE is one of them.

Each type of antibody has it's own characteristics.
IgE are a short lived antibodies which are formed in our body whenever there is an allergic reaction, parasitic infection or a hyperimmune reaction.
They bind to mast cells and release histamine which is the chemical mediator of such allergic reactions.

Elevated serum immunoglobulin E(IgE) are quite anticipated in you because you have bronchial asthma which is a condition of hyperreactive airways and outflow obstruction.

Continue with your bronchodilators and avoid dust, pollen, dander, smoking, exposure to extreme climatic conditions, strenuous exercise, emotional stress and sleep deprivation etc.

Hope that I have answered your query.
If you have any doubts, please let me know.

Stay healthy and stay blessed.
Regards.
