Dear Sir, My Dad Had An Angioplasty Done A Month

Question: Dear Sir, My Dad had an angioplasty done a month ago. prior to that, he underwent angiography in which the catheter was injected into the right-hand wrist. About 20 days ago he developed a bump on the right wrist and currently it is not getting suppressed, he had tried cold press and XXXXXXX therapy also but no luck. He consulted the specialist who did the surgery and he suggested to have arterial doppler and have a consultation done with the cardio vascular surgeon. The local surgeons are suggesting to have a surgery done immediately for this. Can you please have a look into the reports and suggest if
a) the surgery is immediately needed or not
b) Is it a critical bump and need some immediate attention
c) is there a medication that can be immediately given which can help it suppress
Any pointers and suggestions will be highly appreciated.
Regards,
Neeraj

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
After going through the medical details provided by you I can very well understand your concern for your fathers problem and I would like to tell you that
1. Not required immediately but has to undergo incision to treat it.
2. As per the ultrasound Doppler report it doesn’t seems to be critical
3. As it’s basically an aneurysmal bump so no medicine can suppress it.
I would like to suggest you to consult a vascular surgeon personally for proper care and to avoid any sort of complications.
And yes it’s better to get it treated as soon possible.
Hope to have been helpful.
Kind Regards
