Dear Sir fibro scan report not available,,, in hand reports attached please guide on same
Brief Answer:
Answer given below
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
As per the scan report, he is having fatty liver.
The ALT is nearly two times the upper limit of normal.
So he is having non alcoholic steatohepatitis.
He is more prone to develop cirrhosis.
The scan showed splenomegaly which pointed towards early cirrhosis with portal hypertension.
But as per liver function test he is not having cirrhosis as of now.
Fibroscan ( the report is not attached) would show whether he is having early cirrhosis/fibrosis.
He needs to reduce weight if obese.
If risk factors like diabetes or high cholesterol is found, he needs to keep them under control.
He needs to take liver supportive medications like Obeticholic acid and has to be on regular follow up with his doctor.
'Regards,
Dr.R.K.
