Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
Unfortunately psoriasis is a difficult condition to treat and complete remission is not obtained in most of the cases.
In your case you are already on Secukinumab (scapho) which is a most modern choice for resistant psoriasis. You can also consider PUVA treatment after discussing with your dermatologist as it has got best results in long standing psoriasis.
Prognosis as I explained, is not that much favourable. It will affect the quality of life.
Psoriatic arthritis is the most common systemic complication. This complication of psoriasis can cause joint damage and a loss of function in some joints, which can be debilitating. However recent agents like scapho can prevent development of arthritis. Other complications like diabetes and metabolic syndrome can also happen in psoriatic patients.
Wishing all the best.
Thanks
