Dear Whomever Answers, I Have Been On The Birth Control

Question: Dear whomever answers,
I have been on the birth control Yaz for a month after switching from Islbloom. Instead of getting my usual period on the inactive pills, I've only had light spotting. I know that spotting instead of getting your period is a common side effect of switching birth controls, but from what I've read many women have gotten pregnant while on Yaz. Should I be concerned?
Thank you

Brief Answer:
YAZ IS HIGLY EFFECTIVE CONTRACEPTION METHOD BUT NOT 100%
Detailed Answer:
Hi...
Welcome to 'Ask a Doctor' service.
I am Dr Ajeet XXXXXXX
I have gone through your query and here is my opinion.
Yaz is a highly effective hormonal contraceptive pill which prevents pregnancy in 99% cases,if taken as per schedule.
But unfortunately,as per statistical analysis,no contraceptive measure is cent percent effective.
The irregular bleeding and spotting is a common side effect of O.C Pills but if symptoms do not improve, see your clinician.
Hope that I have answered your query.
Stay healthy and stay blessed.
Regards.
