All medications are associated with potential side effects , low platelets (thrombocytopenia) is listed as one of the potential complications of doxycycline but how often this occurs is not recorded at the moment.

This means that it is a possible problem that may arise but most persons may not be likely to have this side effect.

It is possible that you would not have any problems with it but if you remain concerned , you would need to discuss with your doctor

Just a follow up thank you. I have a hereditary low platelet count, around 22K, so probably won't use this product. I will check with my doctor.
