Do Echinacea, Fish Oil And Qunol Ultra CoQ10 Cause Sunburn Mark On Neck?
Question: I was getting a haircut yesterday and my barber commented that I had been getting some sun on my neck. I spend nearly all of my time indoors so I could not think of an occasion that I may have got sun.
Twice daily with food I am taking one each of these three supplements: Nature's Bounty Echinacia 400 mg, Nature's Bounty fish oil 1000 mg (containing 300 mg of Omega-3), and Qunol Ultra CoQ10 (each with 150 IU of Vitamin E and 100 mg of ubiquinone USP grade). I just noticed that my intake of the echinacia and omega-3 dosage are equal or below the recommended dosage, but the CoQ10 intake is DOUBLE the recommended dosage. This was an oversight and mistake.
Could any of these supplements be causing a photosensitive reaction on my neck? I know the safest answer is yes, but are any of these (or an interaction of them) likely to be causing the sun sensitivity?
I live in XXXXXXX at 5000+ feet of elevation. I do not normally wear sunscreen unless I plan to be outside for a long time.

Brief Answer:
It appears photosensitivity reaction
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I went through the image and it appears to be photosensitive reaction.
However the above mentioned drugs have no interactions described in the medical literature. Even if you double the CoQ10 it would not alter the dynamics. You can correct the dosage as per the prescription now.
You can simply check the interactions at this link http://www.webmd.com/interaction-checker/
So the answer that is left is you are exposed to sun at higher altitudes. Even a short duration of 15 minutes can cause photoreaction. You can test it by applying the sun screen even during short outing.
This could be best possible explanation with the information that you provided.
