Do I Need To Follow Up With A Doctor After Accidentally Inhaling A Noodle?
Question: During dinner tonight I may have accidentally inhaled a lomein noodle while taking a breath. I coughed a little, not a lot. Over all I feel fine, but I can't tell if anything actually went into my windpipe. Do I need to follow up with a doctor?
Brief Answer:
Nothing to be worried about
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Even if the noodle has passed on to your wind pipe there is nothing to be worried about. Your immune system will remove the foreign object from respiratory text. You do not have to follow up with a doctor. Nothing to be worried about!
Hope this answers your question. Please let me know if you need further clarification.
