Brief Answer:
Hello,
Detailed Answer:
Hello, welcome to ask a doctor services. I have read your question.

You are suffering from eye itching and redness. I can understand your concern for your eyes.

For relieve you can apply allergy eye drops like Zaditor eye itch relief drops. Applying Clear Eyes redness relief eye drops can also be very helpful.

Do not touch, rub or scratch your eyes. You can apply cool compress to help relieve red, itchy eyes.

When at work, always wear proper safety gear, wear the right welding lens shade for eye protection.

To prevent eye injury, wear safety glasses on at all times under the helmet. This will give an extra layer of protection under UV light and flying debris.

Give rest to your eyes in the dark room. Avoid wearing contact lenses, watching a TV or any related stuff.

You are suggested to get clinically examined by an Eye specialist, get all required eye and imaging tests done to detect or rule out Photokeratitis, Blue light hazard, Macular degeneration and cataracts or other eye infections.
Your treatment will depend on the diagnosis made.

Welder’s flash (or Photokeratitis) is reversible but some other eye injuries can cause permanent damage to your vision. Even though most of these injuries are temporary, the pain can be intense.

Welding and grinding contribute to around 29% of the total eye injuries. Do not neglect your eyes, get treated at the earliest.

There are some cases where it will take you a few days and nights for the eyes to get better. If the flash burns not treated quickly, infections can occur which leads to worse situations.

Yes, it may feel better to rub and itch your eyes within the first few seconds, but this will prolong the symptoms and even cause corneal scarring.

Avoid wearing contact lens and keep your eyes at rest. Hope I have answered your question. Take care.
