Do Loratadine And Bupropion Cause Hives?
Bupropion may cause hives.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM.
Yes,allergic hives could be because of medicines and here it could be due to Bupropion but it would be very unlikely that loratadine may cause it since it is itself an antihistamine drug and used to treat skin allergy.
But there is no need to worry as your son/daughter may continue to take benadryl or levocetrizine 10 mg twice daily for 2 to 3 days.
A topical soothing lotion like calamine would also be helpful symptomatically and use tea tree oil shower.
I would expect that he will start improving in 2 to 3 days or in case if not, then it would be advisable to see some nearby doctor or his/her treating physician.
Hope this helps and let me know if you have more questions.
