Do Zofix And Dicloran A Affect Sperm Quality?
Question: My wife's ovulation date is 3 days from today, I just finished a 3 day course of zofix 200mg (Morning & Night) and Dicloran A (Three times a day) as I suffered from high fever, will it affect my sperms quality ? should I wait for her next cycle to conceive ?
Brief Answer:
You can try this cycle
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Sperms are born about 3 months before.
Fever now or taking medicines is unlikely to harm sperms or cause problem in pregnancy.
It is safe to try this cycle during ovulation.

Thank you, I had read in many online forums that antibiotics have adverse effect on sperms and can cause defects in foteus and people should wait for 3 months before trying to conceive again (as antibiotics kill sperms thinking that they are foreign bodies) I would like to know if my sperm count would have reduced by now ? And it wont cause any problems after the baby is born, please clear my doubt
Brief Answer:
Wrong information
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Unfortunately you have read wrong information which is not authentic.
Sperms are body's own cells and there is no way antibiotics harm them considering as foreign cells.
This won't cause birth defects or increased sperm damage. There is no need to wait for 3 months.
Let me know if you need any more clarification.
