Do Anti Depressants Have Any Effect On The Platelet Function?

Question: hello I take Zoloft 100 mg and buspar 5 mg twice a day. today I accidentally hit the left side of my head, by the temple pretty heard on the garage door. it hurts a little bit by the left temple. im overall pretty good. im a little tired and kinda off balance. but it is 10 pm where I live and I have panic disorder. so its hard to tell if this is bad or not. im also concerned with the fact that anti depressents can effect palate function and make bleeding easier.....should I be worried? its been about two hours since the accident. no vomiting or loss of consciousness
Brief Answer:
No risk of abnormal bleeding.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.
I understand your concerns.
The tiredness and balance issues are due to the impact of garage door on your head.
The abnormal bleeding is biologically possible with use of SSRIs. But the risk is practically very very low. So you d not have worry about that. Take your medicines as per your regular schedule.
The Temple injury which you have sustained will resolve on its own in few days.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
