Do Antidepressants Delay Orgasms In Women?
the answer is prolonged foreplay
Detailed Answer:
Hello ,
Thanks for using healthcaremagic.
I read your question and understand your concerns.
First of all I like to inform you that depression does not affect orgasm and mostly antidepressants delay orgasm in many of the indiduals.
In this regard mostly TCA and SSRI cause delay in orgasm but SNRI rarely cause delay. From the dose mentioned by you it seems you are taking Venlafaxine which is SNRI and unlikely to cause delay or absence of orgasm.
Since we do not have any medications till date for female orgasmic absence/delay the following strategy can diminish some Q frustration if not all.
A prolonged foreplay genetraly improves the orgasmic performance and spending more time with foreplay likely to help you.
Secondly trying different positions is another thing which likle to improve your chances. For positions you can refer anciet Infian taxt known as Kaamsutra.
Finally there is no point in faking it. An open communication with your partner opens more ppsitive avenues.
I hope this answers your question.
if you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.
