Do Blood Donation, Masturbation And Sleeplessness Affect One's Stamina?
Does donating blood, eating junk food, masturbation, lack of night sleep (sleeping 2-3 hours, due to job and studies’ pressure),smoking(about 1 to 2 cigarettes per day) affect running ability and stamina.
An elder brother of mine(aged 30), was a very good runner. He was the fittest among his group of friends, and also a regular gym-goer. He could run 4 to 5 km early morning at one go within a limited time interval. He was practising running for nearly two years for a state police constable recruitment exam.
Recently he had his physical endurance test for police exam(He had to run 1600 m in 6 and a half minutes). He could not qualify in it (by 12 to 13 seconds). Some people said that it may be due to the fact that he had donated blood in a blood donation camp some 8 to 10 days back, so it might have affected his ability and stamina, so do these factors really affect running speed and stamina.
Thank You
No for some and yes for some
Detailed Answer:
Normal blood donation that is not exceeding once in 3 months have no impact on stamin or physical activity and same with mastrubation. Occasional one doesn't affect unless some one has problem and mastrubates many times per day. When it comes to lack of sleep and stress can reduce stamin both in long term and short term. Smoking can affect both muscle strength as well as respiratory capacity which can severely restrict endurance and stamina. About junk food it can affect to extent that immediately after eating large quantity or in long run yes but no impact on short term. Among the issues you have listed if I have to pick top two it would be smoking and lack of good sleep. One would need about 6-7hrs of good sleep
You said"No for some and yes for some"
Is stamina related to a person's "GENES",..
I have known people who are into multiple activities and yet going strong in all spheres. A friend of mine from college, he was a very good football player, excellent stamina, and also a good student in academics,..During night time , he was active on social media or studying and during daytime, he was into football or gossiping in college canteen,
I know him personally(I went for a holiday with him few years back), he would not sleep at night and either listen to music or do facebook, and would go out for running at XXXXXXX but still he would go very strong the next day,...???
Whereas, I would feel drowsy the entire next day, had I not slept atleast 4-5 hours,....
Yes genetics and build of the body of course

Welcome back,
Yes, genetics and build of the body also contribute to stamina. If someone practices for longtime some people can do well with 5 hrs of sleep but it's not possible for everyone due to obvious reasons.
