Do Cramps And Clotted Bleeding After Taking Abortion Kit Indicate Successful Abortion?

Question: I had medical abortion 2 days ago. I took 1st pill by mouth and 72 hours later took another 4 vaginal. Had cramps for about two hours and passed 2 blood clots. That was it. Now have little bleeding and little cramps. Was it success or failure?

The abortion pills can only be taken under supervision because sometimes it may cause severe bleeding, infection and incomplete abortion.
In your case with your description it seems that abortion is completed but it can only be confirmed by ultrasound scan 7-10 days after taking pills.
So you should get your ultrasound scascan after 10 days to see whether it is completed or not.

Yes, it is true that some people feel severe bleeding and pain after taking pills during expulsion of products but it is not true with everyone. If the pregnancy is aborted early, pain and bleeding can be less. Get your ultrasound done after 7 days. Only the scan can suggest if the abortion was complete.
