Hello.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

Gallstones and gallbladder problems usually don't cause symptoms like belching or bloating. These symptoms usually are related to stomach problems like acid relfux, peptic ulcer or indigestion.
Usually an episode of gallstones will cause a severe pain in the upper right part of abdomen ,associated with nausea and vomit.
If the symptoms improve from antiacids ,most likely the cause is the stomach.
It can happen to experience indigestion symptoms (belching or bloating ) associated with an episode of pain in upper right abdomen, although it is not very common.

Hope it helps.
Let me know if you have any other question or doubts to clarify.I will be happy to help.

well my symptoms each time I have an episode is belching badly and hurting under ribs on right. Only happened twice total. I do smoke and drink moderately to put me to sleep. These things make it worse. My question is should I make an appt. with my reg. doc. to see what digestive problem I have? Because I did not have any nausea or vomiting with the pain so might be digestive of some sort. right?

Welcome again.

Your symptoms are indicative for a gastrointestinal condition like peptic ulcer, gastritis, duodenal ulcer etc.
It is less likely for these symptoms to be related to gallstones.
I would suggest to consult your doctor and get examined.
The doctor may prescribe you a 2 week course of a PPI drug like Omperazole to see the symptoms will improve.

Let me know if you have any other question.
Take care.
