Do High Levels Of CA After Undergoing A Mastectomy Require Further Medical Attention?

Question: I had a mastectomy in 2014, and have been on both tamoxifen and arimidex for almost 4 years. Attached are two recent reports I have done. Should there be any concern.
Brief Answer:
CT scan of the whole abdomen
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Your CA 125 is high and since you had undergone mastectomy and had Tamoxifen and Arimidex I would advise you to do a CT scan of the whole abdomen.
It could be a sign of ovarian cancer and the CT scan will detect any space occupying lesion in your ovary.
If any lesion is found then biopsy has to be done to rule out malignancy
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

So the pelvic ultrasound doesn’t give any indication of anything?
Brief Answer:
CT scan detects SOL more accurately than USG
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Pelvic ultrasound would not detect any space occupying lesion properly.
If any space occupying lesion is found in abdomen then biopsy test has to be done to rule out malignancy and that can be only done with CT scan and not ultrasound.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi, I have provided some attachments. Please review them.
Brief Answer:
MRI of liver
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The CT abdomen suggests a mass in your liver.
With a history of breast cancer and elevated Ca 125 I would advise you to go for Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of liver
If the mass looks suspicious of malignancy in MRI then biopsy recommended seeing whether cancer has spread to the liver.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

So the ovaries are okay based on the CT scan??
Brief Answer:
PET scan should be done
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Though your ovaries are normal in CT scan report but your CA 125 is high which is the tumour marker for ovarian cancer.
That is why I would suggest you do a PET scan
