Do Non-dominant Follicles In Ovary Disappear After Ovulation?

You have recently answered my previous question about follicles. Pl help me with additional query as below :
when do the other non-dominant follicles disappear. Immediately after ovulation or during period?
I ask this because the follicles were still there during repeat scan also.
Regards,

Non-Dominant follicles don't disappear soon after ovulation.
Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear,
Thanks for writing back to me. Followings are my comments:
1) Non-dominant follicles DON'T disappear or die soon after ovulation. They will disappear gradually over the time till your period date. It is a biological process.
2) When a new cycle begins, they will start to grow again and compete each other for maturation and one becomes dominant under the influence of FSH and estrogen.
Hope, I have cleared your confusion. If you don't have any other query, you can close the discussion. Good luck and take care.
