Question: Hi, so I bumped my hand into a metal sink at work. I was moving fast and it really hurt when it happened by I had to keep working anyway it doesn't hurt anymore but I'm left with a bump on my hand that is surrounded by bruising but the bump is still skin colored and there is bruising all around it. Do you think I broke one the bones in my hand? Should I go to the Dr or hospital?

Brief Answer:
less likely to be broken bone, but better to get it examined

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome
I have gone through your query and the pictures.
Sorry but the picture that you have uploaded is not that clear, kindly upload a better picture, it will be helpful.
The bump either might be swelling around the bruise or might be a small hematoma both might have resulted from the trauma.
In the absence of pain, it is less likely that you have broken anything there. There might only be soft tissue injury. But for confirmation I would suggest you to see doctor and on examination if required they may ask for x Ray of the affected part.

Presently I would have suggested you to apply cold compression to the affected part, neosporin to the bruise and oral NSAIDS to take care of local inflammation.

This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.

I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you. Please accept my answer in case you do not have further queries.
Take care.
