Question: Can the intake of garlic and honey 3days before the hiv ag/ab p24 test prevent the appearance of antibodies at 40days of exposure?

Taking garlic and honey 3 days before doing HIV Ag/ Ab p24 tests will not alter the results. This is irrespective of time interval from date of exposure and even if tested after at 40 days following HIV risk. If there are no antibodies in 40 day test then you must repeat antibody test at 3 months and 6 months.

False negative reasons for Antibody not appearing in 40 days test can be due to the following

(i) Low viral load infecting the patient
(ii) Weak immune response causing delayed antibody formation
(iii) Delayed response of body to infecting HIV virus
(iv) Insufficient sample for testing
(v) Errors in testing rarely occur

Thank you once more dr, but when some symptoms that resembles hiv symptoms have shown, what can then prevent the viral load to come up to detection of antibodies at 40days of exposure in immune that is not weak? Thanks a lot for your truthful answers.

(i) The person infecting is recently infected and still having a low virus level in blood and body fluids
