Do We Need To Worry If Patient Is Stable With Oxygen Support?

Question: Doctor -
1. I have a friend who recently underwent emergency surgery to remove her appendix; she is approximately 40 year of age.
2. when she woke up, she insisted on an x-ray and CT due to breathing difficulties;
3. based upon the diagnostics, it was discovered that she has a blood clot in her lung and in her arm;
4. the hospital has put her on blood thinners and provided her with an oxygen tank; they want to release her from the hospital tomorrow in this condition.
5. do you believe her release from the hospital is prudent? is there any risk to her leaving the hospital in this condition ?
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
If she is stable with oxygen support, no need to worry.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I can understand your concern.
If she is stable like no cough, no chest pain, normal pulse rate, normal oxygen saturation, normal respiratory rate, no breathing difficulty then she can go home on oxygen support and blood thinners.
It will need prolonged treatment for clot in lungs and arm.
So if patient is stable, he or she can be discharged.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing her good health.
Thanks.
