Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Regarding your questions, I would explain that a leaky tricuspid valve could lead to palpitations, especially if it is associated with right atrial dilatation and thus atrial arrhythmias; other wise the pathological process leading to tricuspid regurgitation my have produced structural changes elsewhere in the heart predisposing again to cardiac arrhythmia (so, palpitations).

Anyways, it is important to confirm first that those palpitations are an expression of cardiac arrhythmia. That's why Holter monitoring test is recommended.

Hope to have been helpful to you!

Let me know in case of any further questions!

Frequent arrhythmia may be responsible:

Detailed Answer:
They may be frequently repeated extra systoles, but more complex arrhythmias like atrial fibrillation or tachycardia can not be excluded.

Holter monitoring could help to differentiate arrhythmic findings. They may produce a lot of anxiety, too.

Brief Answer:
This kind of pain is not related to the heart.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!

Shooting pains in this region, are usually musculo-skeletal pain, not related to the heart or ectopic heart beats.

They are typically triggered by deep breathing or body movements and are indicative of local musculo-skeletal inflammation.

So, in my opinion, there is no reason to panic about the pain.

Regarding the extra heart beats, you should know that anxiety can trigger them. So, please try to relax and have some camomile tea. I would recommend trying some herbal supplements to calm down anxiety (passiflora, valeriana, camomile, etc..) .

Hope you will find this information helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
