Question: Doctor, my husband had blood before passing urine day before yesterday! We got ultrasound done which showed left kidney growth of 5:5 cm , today we got Cect done which says Tumor in left kidney which looks like malignant ! All kft lft and other cbc etc absolutely normal ! Now the doctor we r consulting is advising us kidney removal straightaway ! But no biopsy has been advised ! Kindly tell me Wat to do

Hi

After hearing your history i would advise your husband to undergo CT guided biopsy from space occupying lesion in kidney

If biopsy comes out positive for cancer then complete removal of affected kidney advised .

Post surgery chemotherapy can be taken in the form of oral tablets which daily can be taken to prevent cancer from coming back
