Does Albendazole Interact With Zental?
Question: I was told by a close relative that my family has to be de-wormed every 6 months. Is that true, if so, what medicine should be taken. The details of my family are below:
Male 37 - 92 kg
Female 38 - 70 kg (currently breast feeding)
Female - 9 - 42 kg
Female 6 - 20 kg
Male - 2 - 14 kg
Male - 8 months - dont know weight (on solids and breast feed)

Yes dewroming every 6 months that is twice a year in the month of march and september is a must especially for children ages between 2 to 6 years.
Deworming for adults is done by taking Tab. Albendazole 400mg once in the night after food. Can be taken even if the mother is beastfeeding her child.
For children, Syp. Zentel 10 ml once in the night after food should be given.
