Does All9D Contain Folic Acid?

Question: Hi Doctor, Our doctor has prescribed All9D for my 9 week pregnant wife. Separate folic acid tablets are not given. Does All9D contains folic acid? Do we have to take folic acid tablets also along with All9D?

Brief Answer: All 9 D is aminoacid... Detailed Answer: Hi, As I am aware of All 9 D contains 9 aminoacids which supplements additional protein requirement. I don't think it has folic acid supplement in it. You can review the contents/ingredients of this pill on the medicine wrapper, bottle/box and information leaflet provided with the pill. I would start her on folic acid brands such as folvite 5mg once a day. Discuss with her obstetrician. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications. Regards
