Does Amitriptyline Interact With Qsymia?
Question: my doctor prescribe amitriptyline ccl 50 mg but I forgot to tell him I just stopped taking qsymia . can I still take this new drug?
Brief Answer:
You can take them together!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for reaching out to us at healthcare magic.
I have reviewed these medications and I will like to know when you stopped taking Qsymia. It is not advised to take both together but if you had stopped qsymia more than 5days ago, you can freely take the new medication without any worries. If not, I will suggest that you wait at least a total of 5days before starting the new drug.
I hope this address your query fully. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.
