So 1000mg of azithromycin would have definitely cleared rectal chlamydia? I just wasnt sure if chlamydia in this area needed different antibiotics or stronger ones?

Antibiotics based on sensitivity testing...

Hi my dear,
Thank you for following up.
To decide for the right antibiotic for chlamydia infection, culture and sensitivity testing should be done. According to the results of sensitivity testing, it will be prescribed the sensitive antibiotics.

But thats what im trying to say i never got tested for it in my anus only in my vagina an was givin 1000mg azithromycin one dose to clear it up which it did, but i just wanted to know if i possibly had it in my anus is there a good possibility that the antibiotic cleared this up also?
Brief Answer:
Azithromycin can clear rectal chlamydia too...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
If you have done culture and sensitivity testing, and azithromycin resulted sensitive, then, it will also clear up chlamydia infection even if it was in anus although the sample was vaginal swab and not from the rectum.
Regular follow ups should be done to evaluate if the infection is definitely eradicated.
