Brief Answer:
It's not safe to apply OTC creams over the penis.
Detailed Answer:
Hello xxxxxxxxx and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist, i can understand your concern.
If you're having difficulting in retracting the foreskin back,it may be a phimosis.
Unless one can get it examined,it's difficult to comment on the treatment.
It would be best,if you can send a photo of the foreskin retracted fully.
Please don't apply creams over the penis, without an examination by an Urologist.
Also, get the following tests done, along with the photograph.
1. blood routine,RBS,VDRL,HbsAg,HiV,and LFT.
Wish you well.

Pls suggest on these conditions. Photo attached. Slightly scared of operation. Any other alternate because i have read that after operation success chances are not good .
Brief Answer:
circumcision is curative treatment in phimosis.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
It's good you've sent the photographs.
They all show very clearly, that you're having a phimosis, with infection.
It's been there for quite some time.
You've been misinformed, that circumcision is not successful in treatment.
Circumcision is a cure for phimosis.
It's done routinely by all Urologists,with 100 % success.
You don't have to worry at all, because, this is a very simple operation.
Leaving it untreated, will increase the infection and more complications develop.
The area inside the foreskin is infected and skin swollen.
That will need an antibiotic to be taken.
Local creams must be stopped.
Maintain good penile hygiene and avoid moisture over that area.
Wish you well.
