Brief Answer:
Yes it does
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking!
Yes clonazepam has an adverse effect of abnormal coordination, gait cycle disturbance like ataxia and dizziness spells. You should consult him and let hem reshuffle the dose or get it out of the regimen. As this sedative is not a part of the regimen for parkinson's any ways.He has given it to you just for anxiety not knowing it could cause this.Conitnue your rest of parkinsons medicines of Dopamine Agonists,Anticholinergic, MAO-B inhibitors, Acetylcholinesterase Inhibitors, Central, NMDA Antagonists, COMT Inhibitors and stay in touch with your doctor.
Discuss some new options with him for the parkinsons like neuroablative therapies, deep brain stimulations and putative neuroprotective therapies with him for this parkinsons. Continue exercise and physical therapies for better out come and do as directed by your doctor.
Rest assured clonazepam can do that especially in old age people where metabolism has slowed down and an already gait disturbing condition is there.
I hope it helps.Dont forget to close the discussion please.
May the odds be ever in your favour.
