It's for a tachycardia that's above 140bpm
I asked to change medication but the doctor advised me to stay on them.
It causes me to have blue hands and fatigue; I can cope with those but not the memory and concentration difficulty. Is this acceptable while taking this medication?
I also get chest pain with a weak pulse or a pulse that is frequently skipping beats - feeling like my heart is fluttering.

Dear Madam ,
Thanks for reverting back .
Well this is the ideal drug for controlling the heart rate but what is the cause for you having tachycardia at this young age needs to be known . Have you got your thyroid levels checked .
If you are getting blue fingers you must talk to your doctor regarding decreasing the dose because it is causing peripheral vasoconstriction . Other drug is ivabradine that can be considered but it is generally given in heart conditions.

Dear Madam,
But it is important to find out the cause for tachycardia . Its very important to get a 2 D ECHO done to see if there is any valvular abnormality that is leading to tachycardia and it may be life threatening.

I had an echo in XXXXXXX which was okay. So the doctor just left me to deal with the tachycardia. It was only last month that I asked for medication. I'm not sure what my other options are.

Dear Madam,
Well madam If ECho is normal then it would be difficult to say , other common causes are thyroid abnormalities , anxiety , excessive caffeine etc . But I will ask you to talk to your treating doctor regarding Ivabradine for heart rate control if beta blocker is is not suiting you .
