Brief Answer:
Evista is for osteoporosis and not for osteoarthritis.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Bone deterioration (Joint deterioration in fact), called as osteoarthritis of the knee is a process which is independent of Evista use (which may help in Osteoporosis: bone weakness).
Osteoarthritis is an aging process and the problem is multifactorial and not the same in all persons.
I could not find any attached X rays or reports of confirmed surgery, so cannot comment on that.
If you have severe osteoarthritis you may require joint replacement, else some pain killers occasionally and knee strengthening exercises will help.
Hope I have answered your query.
Take care
