Does Ginette-35 Cause Irregular Menstruation?

Question: Hello, I am on Ginette 35 for 21 days, however, on 22nd day I had unprotected sex and my period is expected to come on 24 & 26 and still I didn't get my periods. Do I need to take any other contraceptive pill like i-pill. Kindly suggest.

Hi,

I can understand your concerns.

Sometimes periods are delayed on taking ginette.

Also ipill needs to be taken within 3 days of intercourse and you have crossed that.

I will advise you to wait for one more week for your periods.

If it still doesn't occur then get a pregnancy test done.

Thank you for your answer. To be precise the details are as follows:-
23rd May '15 - My 21st day and the last pill got over at night 9pm.
24th May '15 - Night I had unprotected sex.
26th May '15 - I was expected to have period.

I am wondering if I need to take i-pill. Or should I wait for periods for one more week and get the pregnancy test done as suggested by you.

Kindly suggest further if I can still avoid pregnancy in case if I found positive since I am slightly worried.
